Albertine Leo, who went missing in Johor, has been found safe in Batang Kali, Selangor Then the Suspects involved in the abduction of six-year-old Albertine Leo are remanded for four days to assist in the investigation.

PETALING JAYA: The search for six-year-old Albertine Leo, who went missing from a shopping mall in Johor on Saturday, has ended with her safe recovery in Batang Kali, Selangor.

Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan confirmed that Albertine was found in Batang Kali earlier today. She had disappeared during the Bon Odori event at Eco Galleria in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, on Saturday evening.

The investigation intensified after Johor police chief M Kumar reported that three individuals, two men and a woman aged between 28 and 55, were arrested yesterday around 1:30 PM in the Iskandar Puteri area. The case, initially classified as a missing person report, has been reclassified under Section 365 of the Penal Code, pertaining to kidnapping or abducting with the intent to secretly and wrongfully confine a person.

In a related development, the three suspects were remanded for four days to assist with further investigations. Magistrate Suhaili Sapun issued the remand order to allow the police to continue their inquiries. The two male suspects, dressed in orange and purple lockup attire, arrived at the Johor Bahru Court Complex at 8:45 AM, handcuffed and escorted by police. The female suspect arrived ten minutes later, also in orange lockup attire, under tight police security.

Albertine Leo Jia Hui was noticed missing at approximately 8:30 PM on Saturday during the Bon Odori event at Eco Galleria. Her case has since been reclassified from a missing person report to a kidnapping investigation under Section 365 of the Penal Code.

Johor Police Chief Commissioner M Kumar will hold a press conference regarding the case at 11 AM today to provide further details.
