Singer-songwriter Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, has passed away at the age of 54. On January 12th, she was taken to the hospital after suffering a medical emergency.
Priscilla Presley confirmed the news in a statement, saying “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
Lisa Marie Presley was a talented musician, releasing three albums throughout her career, starting with her debut pop rock release “To Whom It May Concern” in 2003. Her final album, “Storm & Grace,” was released in May 2012.
As the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie was an heir to her father’s estate. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee and was just 9 years old when her father passed away in 1977.
Her last public appearance was earlier this week on January 10th at the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, where she was supporting her mom and Austin Butler, who won a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Elvis in Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 musical drama.
In addition to her music career, Lisa Marie Presley was also a devoted mother to her three children: Riley Keough, Harper, and Finley. She had previously opened up about her grief following the loss of her son, Benjamin Presley, in 2020.
