Jeremy Renner, an actor known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently shared an update on his recovery from a serious snowplow accident. The incident happened around the New Year, near the Mount Rose Highway, which connects Lake Tahoe and south Reno, straddling the Nevada-California border.
Renner was trying to help a family member when he was accidentally run over by his own six-tonne plowing machine. He was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
On Monday, Renner shared a picture of a snowy rural scene on his Instagram story, captioning it “Missing my happy place.” He has been sharing updates of his recovery process online and promoting the new season of thriller series Mayor Of Kingston, in which he plays Mike McLusky.
He also thanked the staff at the intensive care unit where he was taken following the incident, for “beginning this journey.”
After the accident, Renner posted a picture of himself from his hospital bed, thanking fans for their support, but saying he was “too messed up to type.” Many of his Marvel co-stars and other famous faces praised him for his bravery and sent well wishes.
